Herb Mark

Herbal Apothecary are part of the BHMA’s Herb Mark Scheme. This scheme is designed to ensure the quality and safety of herbal products by requiring manufacturers of herbal products to adopt a common Quality Management System. Herbal Apothecary are one of a small selection of manufacturers who currently meet this standard.

HACCP

HACCP controls, full batch traceability and positive release systems are in place to ensure compliance. We source and use only the best quality, practitioner-grade ingredients and our scientific team draw on insights from the latest herbal research and education to make our products. We work hard to ensure the safety and quality of our products.

ISO 2009:2015

At Herbal Apothecary we continually assess our business systems and processes as part of our ISO 9001 Quality Management System. As a result, our business undergoes a process of continual improvement. Our systems are designed to help us identify potential problems before they arise, ensuring the quality of our products.

Organic Certification

We undergo regular inspections. These ensure that our systems and processes meet the requirements of certified producers. Our customers can be confident that our organic products meet all the statutory requirements.

Dr Shankar Katekhaye

Shankar is a PhD qualified chemist and has a wealth of knowledge in
areas spanning product formulation, quality systems and legislation.

Shankar is responsible for ensuring the quality of the products we manufacture. He ensures the goods we use in our manufacturing processes are of a sufficiently high quality and that our internal processes produce the highest quality end product. Every batch of tincture and fluid extract we produce is checked by Shankar.

Continual Improvement

In past few years we have significantly improved our production facility for best and consistent quality production supported by in-house experts and testing laboratory. We have optimized our extraction process to make best use of the precious plant material. We have enhanced our production capacities to cater well with large quantity requirements by our practitioners and industrial contract customers and implemented measures to improve our stock control.

Our diverse product range of raw herbal material, liquid and solid dosage forms, natural skincare and BeeVital products have been much appreciated by our customer for many years as one stop solution for quality products requirement.

Certificates of Analysis

Certificates of analysis can be provided for every batch supplied. Click here to obtain a COA for any Herbal Apothecary product, all that’s required is a valid batch number which can be found on the product label.

Neonicotinoids

The "standard" Ethanol is derived from Sugar Beet from France, and the Organic Ethanol is derived from Organic Grain (wheat) from Italy. The use of neonicotinoids is banned in Europe and so they will not be used on these crops.
